Repost - Content Producer for Northern Animation Network (NAN)

Research Center for Animation, Film and Digital Processes, VIA University College are looking for a talented and motivated Content Producer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle journalistic tasks and promote Nordic and Baltic animation online.

 

Job description:

You will have the responsibility of creating and distributing a series of original interviews for the Nordic and Baltic animation industry and the partnering festivals: Viborg Animation Festival (DK), Blon Animation and Game Festival (LT), Fredrikstad Animation Festival (N) and Rex Animation Film Festival (SE). You’ll be working as an integrated part of the Viborg Animation Festival office and together with an international team of partnering festivals to secure collaboration, content and reach. 

 

Your primary work tasks will be to:

  • Prepare, coordinate, record, and edit a series of interviews with various artists. We have 40 interviews planned over the next years, all approximately 20 minutes in length. You'll be responsible for carrying out this series of interviews in collaboration with the network partners in both Denmark and other countries.
  • Promote Northern and Baltic animation through different online channels. Your task is to promote both the network and the series of interviews through the different network channels. 
  • Maintain communications through a designated website and social media platforms. You'll be responsible for maintaining the network website and the external communication surrounding the network activities
  • Take part in the external networking activities 

 

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has journalistic and/or communication skills as well as experience with (long form) content production 
  • Is capable of working independently
  • Has experience with editing, sound and filming 
  • Has an animation/film/communication background 
  • Is fluent in written and spoken English
  • Is prepared for travel activities
  • Is professional and proactive
  • Is dialogue-oriented and willing to learn

 

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have experience with distribution and platform management 
  • Have experience with graphic design
  • Have knowledge about the animation industry
  • Have relevant, documented experience carrying out interviews with artists, creatives or other professionals within the cultural and creative sector

Salary and Employment Conditions:

The position is a project position, 20 hours per week, from 1st of August 2025 – 30th of November 2026.

The primary workplace is The Animation Workshop, VIA University College, Kasernevej 5, 8800 Viborg. Activities at VIA's other campuses in the Central Denmark Region are to be expected.

Salary and employment conditions are determined according to current agreements and collective agreements, including pension contributions.
